Tattoos and athletes go hand and hand with over half of NBA players having them. It’s not just a small subculture getting ink’d anymore, just take a look on the soccer field. Daniel Agger has nearly every inch of his body covered in ink, and he’s certainly not the only one.
With all that ink running around there’s likely to be some unknowns; one of those unknowns is the effects of multiple tattoos on the body. Several studies have now come out to show that heavily tattooed athletes suffer a 3 to 5 percent drop in performance level. The larger the tattoo, the greater effect on the body’s ability to sweat and regulate its’ temperature.
